This was really beautiful, Rebecca. A wonderful start to my morning.
I loved this: “Walk with me and work with me— watch how I do it.” Ok. I’m watching. I will be forever, but he’s good with me clumsily following along." - so often it seems we are making a mess of ourselves in our walk with Jesus, but he knows our limitations and our stuttering and stumbling efforts to keep up (or perhaps, better, slow down) with his slow and dedicated pace make Him smile.
Thank you, Hadden! That particular rendition of the Matthew 11 passage has really stuck with me lately, partially because I feel like I can hear I smile coming through. It’s not a tone that is patronizing or false, but patient and full of genuine love.
"I think I've been praying." 🥹 love this post, rebecca

Yes! We need to become better at not only at seeing the Saviour in the text, but perceiving the Saviours smile in the text.
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing, especially that Simone Weil quote. ...That'll sit with me today.
It’s been sitting with me for days. Thank you for your encouragement!
Such a beautiful post. The idea of prayer, mixed in with the dew. Heaven and earth, flowing in harmony, like you and the bees. Wonderfully done.
